The Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences is not strictly a Nobel Prize. Alfred Nobel established the Nobel Prizes in 1895 whilst the Economic’s prize was first awarded in 1969. The Nobel Prizes are awarded every year around the end of November and the beginning of December, around the anniversary of Nobel’s death (10 December) There are 16 winners of the Economics prize associated with Cambridge, 6 of whom were either undergraduate or graduate students. A total of 93 people have won the prize.
